When the state stopped using the workshop of VR (Finnish State Railways) in 1995 Wärtsilä, who’s industrial area surrounds the workshop, got the opportunity to take the space into their use. We got the interesting task to plan the renovation of this former roundhouse to be a conference center and the lunch restaurant for the staff.

The spaces where thoroughly renovated with consideration of the buildings protection as a historical valuable building and at the same time full restaurant, restaurant kitchen and spaces for representation. The shape of the building; the bended shape, the big windows and the brick walls gives an industrial historical atmosphere to the users.
